Another loss, another game where I'm not sure what to say. Free throws probably lost us this one

Free throws, lack of rebounding, turnovers and the will to win.

I think these last 2 games have had there similarities...poor free throw shooting, missed bunnies, rebounding(yikes), and motivation! One thing I thought was big last night was the fact that when we went to a 2-3 zone it was effective(the few times)it seemed we packed the middle more and allowed fewer passes inside and minimized some foul trouble? Also there were more tipped passes, to create turnovers. As far as pressing I just think we have to few bodies to do so right now, our bench is not very deep(young). Im glad to see the freshman getting playing time(we have a great group of them) it will only help for next year! I still think the future is bright for Illinois, but it is up to the upperclassman to manage this season. Groce is putting the best on the floor, they just need to execute!..Go Illini!!
